It was a hard choice here at The Indie Reviewer, with so many great finalists to choose from, but we finally narrowed it down to Canadian singer/songwriter Jodi Pederson.  Pederson's winning entry was the upbeat song "Christmas With You."  Though upbeat and cheerful, the song is about missing a loved one during Christmas.  This gave the piece an interesting contrast, which was coupled with a simple song structure, excellent lyrics, and good production quality to make it our choice for the 2011 TIR Christmas Songwriting Contest.  Listen to the winning song here, or visit Jodi Pederson's website at www.jodipederson.com.
